![]() Hello, Looks like you may be asking for recommendations for audiobooks. (copied & pasted & tweaked from some previous posts.) World War Z by Max Brooks is an oral history of the zombie apocalypse, with narration by damn near everyone. Run, also by Blake Crouch, narrated by Phil Gigante, is rougher around the edges than Pines, but it's also darker and grittier. It feels like a mixture of The Twilight Zone, The Fugitive, and Twin Peaks. Pines (+ two sequels) by Blake Crouch, narrated by Paul Michael Garcia, is about a secret service agent investigating a small town where everything seems too good to be true. N0S4A2 by Joe Hill, read by Kate Mulgrew, is about "collector" of souls who picks the wrong kid to abduct. There is a short story prequel called The Hospital you can try out for free. Bray is about a loner who drinks his way through the zombie apocalypse. Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, narrated by Scott Brick, is about a lizard zoo that loses power. Infected by Scott Sigler, narrated by Scott Sigler is about an alien disease that drives people mad. Horns by Joe Hill, Narrated by Fred Berman, is about a guy who basically becomes the devil. Carey, narrated by Finty Williams is a take on the zombie apocalypse that focuses on a relationship between teacher and student. The Fireman by Joe Hill, narrated by Kate Mulgrew is about an apocalypse where people burst into flame. The Dinosaur Four by Geoff Jones (me), narrated by Nick Podehl, is a time-travel dinosaur thriller about ten everyday strangers in a cafe that gets sent back in time. It’s a great book, but don’t expect a ton of answers. Cassandra Campbell's narration is one of the best I've ever heard. ![]() Bird Box does a great job with tension, but the explanation and resolution are somewhat thin. The characters spend much of the story blindfolded. It's got some contrivances, but it's fun.īird Box by Josh Malerman, narrated by Cassandra Campbell is about a young mother trying to survive in a world where something outside will make you suicidal and homicidal if you see it. Laurel Lefkow sounds exactly like Sigourney. I removed JAWS, Misery, and The Road from the list, since those aren't technically sci-fi.)Īlien: Out of the Shadows is a full-cast dramatization that takes place between Alien and Aliens, and feels like really well-done fan fiction.
